ITER is a large-scale scientific experiment to demonstrate if it is possible to produce commercial energy from nuclear fusion. From conceptual design to construction design ITER uses ETAP at each project stage. The presentation will describe how ETAP is currently used, for manufacturing parameters validation, as well as transient analysis for plant systems scenarios validation. Next project steps, including testing and commissioning using ETAP as support tool will be discussed as well as pilot case of ETAP Real Time implementation.
Intergraph PP&M and ETAP have offered an electrical engineering and design solution that combines ETAP’s enterprise solution software for electrical power systems with Intergraph’s SmartPlant® Electrical with a bi-directional interface to solve these design challenges. This partnership gives you the flexibility to either start with the detailed design in SPEL, validate thru ETAP and update the design in SPEL as needed, or start in ETAP with the distribution design and move from there to SPEL for the detailed design part of the work process.

In this presentation we showcase the hardware-in-the-loop simulation testing procedure of one of ETAP’s real-time smart grid solutions, AGC (Automatic Generation Control). The ability of AGC to respond to varying operating conditions on the grid is demonstrated and the set-up enables testing under several “what-if” scenarios.
This datacenter 101 presentation explores how ETAP is being used to design a power system in a data center, how power was performed inside the data center, provides an overview of the project the collaboration with ETAP and summaries what lessons were learned in the process.
This presentation will discuss the steps in system design as well as the justification and implementation of ETAP Intelligent Load Shedding (ILS) system at Hyundai Steel, Incheon plant.
This presentation aims to introduce the AVEVA Electrical product and how the graphical engineering philosophy can be used to rapidly populate an engineering database. The recently released AVEVA – ETAP data exchange will also be shown, to highlight how easily data can be transferred.
The U.S. Department of Energy has awarded a major microgrid contract to the Advanced Power and Energy Program (APEP) at the University of California, Irvine in collaboration with ETAP, MelRok, and Southern California Edison. The goal of the research is to establish protocols and specifications for a generic microgrid controller (GMC).
ETAP 14 is the upcoming major release to the ETAP design, analysis, optimization and automation software. ETAP 14 is the culmination of extensive engineering research and software development, including the suggestions and contributions of our Users from around the world.
