ETAP Supports INSA Lyon's Proto INSA Club with SEE Electrical Expert

ETAP is proud to announce its partnership with the Proto INSA Club, the student association at INSA Lyon dedicated to designing ultra-energy-efficient prototype vehicles for the prestigious Shell Eco-marathon.

For more than 30 years, the Proto INSA Club has brought together passionate students around an ambitious goal: traveling the greatest possible distance using a limited amount of energy while developing the skills of tomorrow's engineers.

As part of this partnership, ETAP provides access to SEE Electrical Expert, enabling students to design the electrical schematics of their vehicles more efficiently. This collaboration supports the development of the club's URBAN Proto vehicle by streamlining the design of the wiring harness and the various onboard electrical systems.

Thanks to SEE Electrical Expert, members of the Proto INSA Club benefit from a powerful, intuitive design environment tailored to the demands of a complex engineering project. By simplifying the creation of reliable and fully documented electrical schematics, the software allows the team to focus on innovation and continuously improving the performance of their prototype.

This partnership perfectly reflects ETAP's commitment to supporting the education of future engineers and fostering innovation within higher education institutions. Working alongside student teams engaged in real-world engineering projects is an excellent opportunity to share electrical engineering best practices while helping prepare the next generation of talent.

This collaboration comes as the Proto INSA Club has just achieved the best performance in its history at the Shell Eco-marathon Europe & Africa 2026. The team finished 4th out of 34 European and African teams, setting a new club record of 866 km/kWh and becoming the highest-ranked fully student-run team in the competition.

We warmly congratulate all members of the Proto INSA Club on this outstanding achievement and are proud to support their future projects with SEE Electrical Expert.
