Description: Utilize standard engineering and mathematical concepts and principles to execute established test plans and protocols for assigned software features for ETAP Enterprise Solution. Create, review, and execute test cases and the release documents to be within the Quality Assurance requirements including the identification, logging, and testing of assigned modules within the ETAP software. Provide technical support to the ETAP users for various modules including Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor Starting, Transient Stability and Railway Traction Power Analysis. Manage the Validation and Verification documents from various departments to ensure timely release of the software products. Work with other engineers on projects based on modules like Load Flow, Short Circuit, and Railway Traction Power Analysis and complete them within the deadlines assigned. Define problems and conduct research to find solutions to various power stability issues. Perform calculations using applications like MATHCAD and MATLAB to verify results and create benchmarks for the test cases within various modules in ETAP. Provide power system modeling and analysis support for industrial and distribution power systems. May work from home.

Qualification:

Must possess expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education. Such expertise/knowledge cannot be “quantified” by “time”. Required expertise/knowledge includes:

 

• Load flow

• Short circuit

• NFPA 70E

• Power system modeling

• Power system analysis, including load flow, short circuit

• Python

• MS Office


Education: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical, and Computer Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience as Electrical Engineer, Power Engineer, or related.

Other: Job Site: 17 Goodyear, Irvine, CA 92618. 40 hours/week. $81,682 - $90,400 per year. If offered employment must have legal right to work in U.S. EOE
