Presentation Summary: Dynamic motor characteristics data and Manufacturer’s data-sheets are not always readily available when performing a Motor Starting study. The ETAP Motor Parameter Estimation tool is based on advanced mathematical estimation and curve fitting techniques, which require only the machine nameplate characteristic data.
The estimated model, together with its parameters, can then be used to represent the motor dynamics during motor starting and transient stability studies.
