Workshop Description

This multi-session workshop offers the opportunity to become proficient using ETAP:

  • General Course Objectives:
    To provide participants with the development of ETAP the experience, knowledge and skills that will facilitate the performance of steady-state studies of electrical systems.
  • Objectives by topic:
    To become familiar with the requirements and data preparation for Power System studies using ETAP.
         - Understand the application and analysis of simulation results obtained from various analyses such as Balanced Power Flow Analysis, Short Circuit.
         - Apply the calculation methodologies according to IEC standards for Short Circuit Analysis. 

The topics to be taught will be broken into 4-hour sessions as noted below.

Session 1 (Day 1 - 4 hours) - ETAP Overview

Session 2 (Day 2 - 4 hours) - Load Flow Analysis (Balanced)

Session 3 (Day 3 - 4 hours) - Review of Topics

Session 4 (Day 4 - 4 hours) - Short Circuit Analysis

Session 5 (Day 5 - 4 hours) - Short Circuit Analysis (IEC Standards)

Session 6 (Day 6 - 4 hours) - Review of Topics

Note:  This workshop starts at  9:00 AM, Argentina time (ART)

Requirements:

  • Windows 10 Computer (i5+ CPU).
  • Reliable Internet access so attendee can connect to ETAP License server during workshop.
  • Dual Monitors are recommended but not required.

  • Current users seeking a refresher course
  • Theoretical-practical knowledge of Power Electrical System Analysis
