Webinar Description

Today’s industries require electrical power systems to adapt rapidly to new changes in operation, while keeping critical operations running. We invite you to magnify your understanding of an ETAP SCADA solution that adeptly handles dynamic changes and enhances visibility through an intuitive HMI and real-time digital twin data insights and control.

 Key Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize the value of model validation to enhance eSCADA reliability
  • Understand the features of ETAP’s eSCADA that improve system operation and oversight
  • Learn why ETAP’s Situational Intelligence has become a critical tool for control room operators

An interactive Q&A session with our experts occurs immediately after the presentation, to address your specific challenges and requirements. This topic was initially presented at the Spark 2024 Global Digital Conference. By popular demand, it is being presented as a webinar.

This webinar introduces eSCADA, ETAP’s model-driven Electrical SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) system that provides real-time monitoring, control, and analysis of electrical power systems. By leveraging a unified electrical digital twin of the power system network, the system design and operational data are merged into a single, unified platform. This approach offers significant advantages over traditional SCADA systems by providing enhanced situational awareness, predictive capabilities, and intelligent decision support.

At its core, eSCADA features an intuitive Human Machine Interface (HMI) with intelligent graphical user interfaces, including one-line diagrams, geospatial views, and customizable digital dashboards. This allows operators, engineers, and managers to visualize the electrical operation in real-time, gaining a comprehensive overview of the system's status. The system supports seamless data acquisition from various field devices and protocols, ensuring interoperability with existing infrastructure.

A key differentiator of ETAP eSCADA is its proactive simulation capabilities. By utilizing the digital twin model and real-time data, eSCADA can identify future system behavior in response to operator actions, or potential events. This allows for better informed decision-making, enabling operators to anticipate and mitigate issues before they potentially escalate into critical failures. The system also facilitates "what-if" scenario analysis and event playback for post-event investigation and operator training.

Need a different time? The webinar is broadcast at two times during the same week: Wednesday, 9am PDT / 12pm EDT and Thursday, 10am BST / 11am CEST. Click this link to sign up for the other broadcast time.
