iDLS suit la charge totale connectée et le nombre de clients connectés par alimentation pour déterminer la priorité de charge dynamique par classification client/alimentation telles que critique, industrielle et résidentielle. Les algorithmes de priorité dynamique calculent la sélection optimale des programmes rotatifs et ajustent automatiquement les interruptions planifiées en fonction du nombre de déplacements des lignes d'alimentation, du nombre d'interruptions précédentes et des temps de restauration pour optimiser les indices de fiabilité et la qualité de l'approvisionnement tout en améliorant la réponse aux demandes du service client.
À mesure que davantage de DER sont ajoutés et mélangés au réseau, le système de délestage de charge doit être capable d'évaluer et de valider la réponse du système à mesure que la charge et la production augmentent et de mesurer le déséquilibre entre la production et la charge lorsque le délestage de charge se produit.
