Workshop Description

  • This introductory workshop begins with the basics of one-line diagram creation, data entry, and quickly expands the users’ knowledge to include methods to automatically perform multiple ‘what if’ studies using multiple scenarios.
  • The workshop includes Short-Circuit, Load Flow, Device Coordination, and detailed Arc Flash Analysis.
  • Other topics such as Motor Starting, Ground Grid Design, Cable Pulling, Harmonic Analysis, Parameter Estimation, Cable Pulling, Transient Stability, Generator Start-Up, Optimal Power Flow, Reliability Assessment, Unbalanced Power Flow, DC Load Flow, DC Short Circuit, Battery Sizing & Discharge, Control System Diagrams, Wind Turbine Analysis, etc. are available via onsite training courses or attendance to advanced sessions.
  • An ETAP workstation is provided for each attendee.

Who should attend

  • New ETAP users and power engineers who wish to increase their skills using the ETAP application to perform system studies.
  • Current users seeking a refresher course.
  • Engineers that have an electrical background, but haven't taken formal ETAP training before.
  • Knowledge of power system engineering concepts is highly recommended for those attending this workshop.
