Integrated AC & DC Design & Analysis
Model-Driven SCADA, EMS, PMS, ADMS & SAS
A Unified Digital Twin PlatformDesign, Operation, and Automation
Social (5:30 pm): Introduction of the hosts and attendees, snacks and refreshments will be provided. Presentation (6:00 pm): Cable Manufacturers typically publish cable ampacity values at very specific conditions that rarely match actual installation parameters. The Cable thermal analysis module can determine the operating temperature of cable conductors in a raceway system under steady state or transient conditions. The calculation is based on the NEC accepted Neher-McGrath approach or IEC 60287 Method.
The presentation will demonstrate how ETAP Cable Thermal Analysis helps engineers to design cable systems to operate to their maximum potential while providing a secure and reliable operation.
Cable Thermal Analysis Key Features • Cable Steady-State Temperature Calculation • Cable Uniform Ampacity & Temperature Calculation • Cable Sizing -Thermal Analysis • Cable Transient Temperature Calculation • Underground (UG) Cable Raceway Rule Book Open discussion
