Workshop Description

  • This 3-day advanced hands-on workshop is designated for experienced ETAP users in order to take advantage of the full capabilities of the application to solve more complex power system problems.
  • This workshop covers a variety of advanced power system solutions for generation plants, transmission, and industrial facilities. It considers the balanced/unbalanced power flow concept in such networks, details of stability phenomena & dynamics in power systems, AC arc flash hazards assessment & mitigation techniques, and effects of harmonics in the system.
  • This workshop does not include any refresher on fundamentals of power system modeling in ETAP.
  • An ETAP ®14.1 workstation is provided for each attendee. Supporting materials will be provided in PDF, certificate of attendance and the course is taught in Spanish.
  • An ETAP workstation is provided for each attendee.

Who should attend

ETAP Advanced workshop is recommended for engineers who have taken prior ETAP workshops and/or are proficient in basic functionalities of ETAP. This workshop is to employ ETAP®14.1 in more complex cases and learn how to fully utilize ETAP capabilities to conduct advanced studies most efficiently. This course is recommended for users who have practical experience with the details of power system modeling, managing 3-D database and utilizing device libraries in the ETAP application, as well as being familiar with performing the related study scenarios for the topics covered in this workshop.
