The process of Verification & Validation
(V&V) is used throughout
the revision life cycle.
Verification is
the process of determining whether or not
the products of a given phase of the revision
life cycle fulfill the requirements established
during the previous phase.
Validation is
the process of evaluating software at the
end of the revision life cycle to ensure
compliance with software requirements.
The V&V method for ETAP is quite extensive consisting of thousands of test cases that encompass each and every calculation module, user interface, persistence, reports, plots, library data, etc.
