ETAP® 11.1 Release Empowers Users with New DC Arc Flash Analysis Module and Third-Party Model Conversion Tools

Irvine, Calif. – March 7, 2012 – Operation Technology, Inc. (OTI), developers of ETAP Enterprise Software Solution for power systems, announces the release of ETAP 11.1. This release expands the ETAP software offerings with a new DC Arc Flash Analysis module as well as other new major enhancements, in a multi-language edition.
DC Arc Flash is offered as a new module to the ETAP software and is used to calculate the incident energy and determine the arc flash hazard levels for different types of direct current system applications including mission critical facilities, solar generation sites, substation battery banks and nuclear plants. This module is compliant with NFPA 70E 2012 DC Arc Flash Analysis.
In response to requests from engineers and consultants, ETAP 11.1 includes several new model conversion tools from third-party power system analysis software that allow users to easily import and automatically convert the projects to ETAP. The embedded conversions tools include Dapper® PTW32 versions 6.0 and 6.5, PSS®E versions 29 and 30.
Users will additionally benefit from new enhancements in ETAP 11.1 which include an updated Cable Library based on NEC® 2008, and a set of new protective device library.
ETAP 11.1 is offered as a multi-language edition that includes English, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese and Russian for its expanding global customer base.
