ETAP® Academic Scholarship Program to Assist Electrical Engineering Students Worldwide
Financial & Technical Support for Studies Including Power System Analysis, Power Management System, Smart Grid Technology, and Renewable Energy
Irvine, Calif. – October 11, 2010 – Operation Technology, Inc. (OTI), developer of ETAP enterprise software solution for power systems, has announced a new academic scholarship program to motivate and attract electrical engineering students in the power system engineering field.
The goal of the ETAP scholarship program is to assist students reach their educational goals through financial support and practical experience using ETAP software in universities worldwide. The scholarship program is targeting students whose focus of study is in Power System Design & Analysis, Power Management System, Smart Grid Technology, Renewable Energy, and related fields.
“Operation Technology is committed to supporting power system engineers of today and tomorrow,” said Michael Brown, ETAP Educational Facilitator. “With the belief that by providing opportunities and ETAP experience to engineering students, ETAP will inspire the next generation of qualified power engineers.”
In addition to the scholarship amounts to be awarded, ETAP will also be extending an invitation to each of the scholarship recipients to participate in an ETAP 115 Power System Engineering Workshop. This 5-day training session will serve to supplement students’ experiences using ETAP in a classroom setting by exploring the skills, knowledge, and techniques required to develop a thorough understanding of power engineering.
