Technical Support Engineer

Position Summary

The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical and customer service support to ETAP users worldwide. 60% of the time will be spent on technical support and the remainder of the time will be spent doing power systems analysis, testing, projects, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide client support and technical issue resolution via E-Mail and phone to identify, correct, or advise on technical issues
  • To perform power system analysis and design
  • To support ETAP development activities including product support, software testing, and other related tasks
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, vendors, and others in a courteous and professional manner
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions
  • Conform with all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 6+ months experience working with ETAP
  • Relevant experience or education in electrical power systems
  • Basic understanding of Power Management System concepts and applications
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong analytical skills for use in response to technical queries from customers/clients
  • Able to promptly answer support related email, phone calls and other electronic communications
  • Computer Skills related to creation of reports and presentations in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

Education

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering (power elective courses required)
