ETAP Wind and Solar Modeling

Last year, $34 billion was invested in clean energy by the U.S., a 51% increase from 2009. Over $25 billion of the dollars invested in clean energy last year were in the Wind and Solar sectors, two sectors that ETAP has solutions for.

ETAP’s Wind Turbine Generator software is capable of modeling an unlimited number of wind turbine generators, either individually or in a group. Furthermore, ETAP’s wind farm software can simulate transient wind conditions with ramp, gust, and noise disturbances and calculate dynamic impact on wind machines.

ETAP 11, the upcoming release, will include a Photovoltaic Solar Array module that can handle Solar Farm modeling and will incorporate a Solar Irradiance calculator along with its comprehensive manufacturer and model library.

Recent clean energy investment rankings have seen the U.S. slip to third behind China and Germany despite recent government pushes promoting non-polluting power sources. ETAP is focused on improving clean energy efficiency whether in the U.S., in China, or in Germany. With over $100 billion spent on wind and solar energy between these three countries, ETAP realizes that clean energy is the primary focus of an increasingly environmentally conscious world.
